Being at a color correction session for Book 2 today reminded me that I kicked off this blog a year ago this week with a snapshot of Korra from a Book 1 color correction session. A year later and I’m still behind in all my work, you’re all still mad the show is not out yet (which, please understand, is akin to being mad at a tree for not growing apples fast enough), and Korra is still a badass.

I find it interesting that makorra is the biggest LOK ship, as proven by many public polls and the fact that they have the biggest fanfiction section; but makorra is also the only ship that doesn’t really have a big presence on livejournal or tumblr (everyone is too afraid on tumblr XD and we’ve been pretty much run off of LJ). I think it’s because many makorra shippers don’t like to reveal themselves. There are times when some of my friends on here and myself, get comments such as:

“Oh you’re so smart why do you ship makorra?” or “I liked you until I found out you shipped makorra.”

Which is bullshit because in my eyes there is nothing for makorra shippers should feel guilty for. There is nothing problematic about our ship that should warrant that sort of response. Yet still, most makorra shippers on tumblr are too afraid to really come out and proclaim their love of makorra.

I’m not asking people to ship makorra. I’m just asking for the haters to calm down, or keep your angry ass comments that no one really cares about anyway and put them somewhere that only your cesspool counterparts can see it. That’s it.
